Create DIY Face Masks from Socks
Ok, I know this sounds dirty, and useless.
You can buy one off the market of just Rs 10.
But then again, we can just eat a loaf of bread everyday instead of multigrain bread with cheese and eggs.
Quality is everything.
And when it comes to your safety amidst this pandemic, wearing good quality and good looking masks is what matters most.
you don't want to look like a nurse.
You want to look purposeful. The right mask will make you look exactly that.
All you need are a (washed) pair of socks, and scissors.
I say "pair" because one is the worst number in life. Always have backup. (deep)
You will need a pair of sharp scissors and a clean cotton sock — an athletic ankle sock works well — with a tight weave. You can also use a longer sock and cut off the top.
2. Lay down the sock horizontally on a flat surface. Using your scissors, cut the sock in half between the toe and the heel. Remove the half with the toe and discard.
Turn the sock vertically so the cut end is at the top, and the heel to your left. Make another cut on the right side from the ankle opening to the cut end of the sock
Fold it in half, and at about 1/2 inch from the edge, cut a 1/2- to 1-inch slit starting from the fold. Do not cut all the way through the sock.
For extra protection, place a folded piece of fabric (T-shirt material or cotton cloth) in the nose and mouth area.
There you have it! Your own stylish and safe, face mask.
No more awkward dates.
